Cal LeGrow Foundation donates $4,920 to Youth 2000 Centre

March 4, 2016

The Cal LeGrow Foundation is pleased to announce a donation of $4,920 to the Back to School Assistance Program, run by the Youth 2000 Centre (Y2C), in Grand Falls-Windsor.

Since 2012, Y2C, through their Back to School Assistance Program, has supported low-income families with backpacks filled with school supplies for students attending grades K-12. The goal is to ensure all students have the tools they need to succeed in their studies, regardless of their family’s income.

“The Cal LeGrow Foundation is pleased to support initiatives like the Y2C Back to School Assistance Program that support youth and advance their interests, skills and education.”
Gail Ryan, Chair, Cal LeGrow Foundation

“With this donation from the Cal LeGrow Foundation the Y2C will have sufficient resources to expand the program and distribute backpacks to students in Grand Falls-Windsor, and the nearby communities of Browns Arm, Norris Arm, Bishops Falls, and Buchan’s.
– April Skinner, Manager of Community Development, Y2C
